Hirak Trail Introduction
The Xilike Trail connects the Lishan Hotel and the Lansheng Pavilion, stretching a total of 600 meters. Constructed with environmentally friendly methods that do not harm the natural ecosystem, this hiking trail allows visitors to easily get close to the natural environment of Lishan. "Xilike" means "the auspicious bird that foretells" in the Atayal language, referring to the White-eye bird. While walking along the forest path, one can observe a wide variety of birds, insects, butterflies, and an impressive array of plants and flowers, making it a trail rich in ecological diversity and natural charm. Another highlight of the Xilike Trail is the two rope suspension bridges along the route, which allow only one person to cross at a time, adding a thrill to the hiking experience. Along the way, visitors can also find Atayal heritage stone piles and numerous colorful murals themed around Atayal culture, immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the tribe while walking the trail. Upon reaching the Warrior's Camp along the trail, one can continue on to the Lansheng Pavilion to enjoy a panoramic view of the Lishan area's tribes and the Dajia River. In the evening, stunning sunsets and twilight skies can be admired, creating beautiful scenes that captivate visitors.
