Xiliku Trail Introduction
The Xilike Trail connects the Li Shan Hotel and the Lan Sheng Tower, with a total length of 600 meters. It is constructed using eco-friendly methods that do not harm the natural ecosystem, making it an accessible hiking path to experience the natural environment of Li Shan. "Xilike" means the divinatory spirit bird, the Brownish-flanked Bush Warbler, in the Atayal language. Along the forest trail, one can observe a wide variety of birds, insects, butterflies, and an abundance of plant life, showcasing rich ecological diversity and a vibrant natural atmosphere. Another highlight of the Xilike Trail is its two suspension bridges, which allow only one person to cross at a time, adding an element of excitement to the hike. Along the way, visitors can also see Atayal heritage stone piles and many murals themed around Atayal culture, allowing them to experience a deep sense of tribal charm while walking the trail. After reaching the Warrior Camp along the trail, one can continue on to the Lan Sheng Tower for a panoramic view of the surrounding Atayal villages and the Dajia River. In the evening, visitors can enjoy breathtaking sunsets and twilight, making the beautiful scenery unforgettable.
