Xilike Trail Introduction
The Silik Trail connects the Lishan Hotel and the Lansheng Pavilion, with a total length of 600 meters. It is constructed using environmentally friendly methods that do not harm the natural ecosystem, making it a hiking trail that allows easy access to the natural environment of Lishan. "Silik" means the divination spirit bird—Pygmy Wren Babbler—in the Atayal language. As you meander through the forest path, you can observe a wide variety of birds, insects, butterflies, and countless plants and flowers, making it a trail rich in ecological diversity and filled with natural wilderness. Another highlight of the Silik Trail is the two rope suspension bridges along the way, which are only wide enough for one person at a time, adding an element of excitement to the hike. Along the trail, you can also see Atayal archaeological stone piles and various artworks themed around Atayal culture, allowing you to experience the strong tribal atmosphere while walking. Upon reaching the Warrior Base Camp along the trail, you can continue on to the Lansheng Pavilion, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Dajia River and the villages in the Greater Lishan area. In the evening, you can also admire the sunset and twilight, with the beautiful scenery leaving a lasting impression.
