Hirik Trail Introduction

The Xilic Trail connects the Lishan Villa and the Lansheng Pavilion, stretching 600 meters in total. It has been constructed using eco-friendly methods that do not harm the natural environment, making it an easily accessible hiking trail that allows visitors to get close to the natural surroundings of Lishan. "Xilic" means the divining spirit bird - the Japanese white-eye in Atayal language. As you walk along the trail, you can observe a wide variety of birds, insects, butterflies, and an abundance of plant life, showcasing rich ecological diversity and the spirit of the wilderness. Another notable feature of the Xilic Trail is the two suspension bridges along the way, which can accommodate only one person at a time, adding a thrill to the hike. Along the route, you can also see Atayal cultural sites, stone stacks, and numerous murals themed around Atayal culture, allowing you to experience the rich tribal atmosphere. After reaching the Warrior Camp along the trail, you can continue on to Lansheng Pavilion, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Dashi areas and the Dajia River. In the evening, the sunset and twilight view create a beautiful scenery that is truly unforgettable.
