Xiliku Trail Introduction

The Xilike Trail connects the Lishan Hotel and the Lansheng Pavilion, with a total length of 600 meters. It is constructed using environmentally friendly methods that do not harm the natural ecosystem, making it an easy hiking trail that allows visitors to get close to the natural environment of Lishan. "Xilike" means the divinatory spirit bird, the cut-throat finch, in the Atayal language. As you walk through the forest trail, you can observe a wide variety of birds, insects, butterflies, and numerous plant species, showcasing the trail's rich ecological diversity and natural wild charm. Another highlight of the Xilike Trail is the two suspension bridges along the way, which can accommodate only one person at a time, adding an element of excitement to the journey. Along the trail, you can also see stone piles from Atayal sites and many paintings themed on Atayal culture, allowing you to experience the rich tribal atmosphere while walking. Upon reaching the Warrior Camp along the trail, you can continue to the Lansheng Pavilion, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Lishan tribal area and the Dajia River, and in the evening, admire the sunset and twilight, making for a beautiful scenery that captivates visitors.
