Tea Tasting Wellness Park Introduction
The Songbailing area in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, offers a commanding view of the Changhua and Yunlin plains, which was particularly significant during wartime. As a result, the National Army established various-sized artillery positions in this area for defensive purposes. To complement the overall tourism development of the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, this location has revitalized the bunkers using local characteristics, creating a new recreational experience. In the tea plantation wellness area, the artillery positions have been greened, and facilities have been integrated with tea garden imagery, providing spaces for tea tasting, scenic viewing, rest areas, military facility renovations, restoration of existing buildings, and even a water tower designed to resemble a teapot. This area is adjacent to the Tea Aroma Trail, and climbing the bunker allows visitors to overlook the expansive views of the nearby tea plantations. Besides utilizing military sites combined with local resources, it also connects to the existing tea-producing landscape of Songbailing and benefits from the flourishing incense of the Tian Gong Temple, enhancing the depth and breadth of religious visits and tea plantation tourism.
