Tea-Tasting Health and Well-being Park Introduction
The Songbailing area in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, offers a commanding view of the Changhua Plain, making it strategically significant during wartime. Consequently, the military established various artillery bunkers in the region for defense purposes. To promote tourism development in conjunction with the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, local features have been utilized to revitalize the bunkers and create new recreational experiences. In this health preservation tea garden area, the artillery sites have been greened, and facilities have been integrated with tea garden imagery, tea-tasting spaces, scenic rest areas, military facility transformation, existing building renovations, and a water tower designed in the shape of a teapot. This area is adjacent to the Tea Fragrance Trail, and climbing the bunker offers a panoramic view of the surrounding tea gardens. In addition to utilizing military releases and local resources, it enhances religious visits and the depth and breadth of tea garden tourism, enriched by the thriving incense offerings at Tian Gong Temple.
