Tea and Wellness Garden Area Introduction
The Songbailing area in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, is situated at a high elevation, offering a panoramic view of the Changhua-Yunlin Plain. This strategic location became even more significant during wartime, leading the national military to establish various types of fortifications in the area for defense purposes. In line with the overall tourism development of the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, efforts have been made to revitalize the local features of the bunkers to create new recreational experiences. Within the tea and health cultivation park, the fortifications have been greened, integrating the structures with the imagery of tea plantations, tea-tasting spaces, scenic rest facilities, military facility transformations, renovations of existing buildings, and a water tower designed to resemble a teapot. This area is adjacent to the Tea Aroma Trail, and visitors climbing the bunkers can enjoy unobstructed views of the nearby tea plantations. By utilizing the military's released sites and combining them with local resources, as well as enhancing the existing tea town scenery of Songbailing and the religious significance brought by the flourishing incense of the Tian Gong temple, the depth and breadth of religious visits and tea plantation tourism have been strengthened.
