Tea Culture and Health Maintenance Park Introduction
The Songbailing area in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, is situated at a high altitude, providing a panoramic view of the Changhua-Puli Plain, which became increasingly significant during wartime. The National Army established various artillery positions in this area for defensive purposes. To promote tourism development in conjunction with the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, this site revitalizes the local features by transforming the bunkers, creating new recreational experiences. Within the tea cultivation wellness park, the artillery positions are landscaped, associated with tea garden imagery, designed with tea tasting spaces, constructed with scenic rest areas, remodeled military facilities, renovated existing buildings, and water towers shaped like teapots, among others. This area is adjacent to the Tea Aroma Trail, and from the top of the bunker, visitors can overlook the expansive views of the nearby tea fields. In addition to utilizing military released sites in combination with local resources, it also builds on the existing tea-producing landscape of Songbailing and the flourishing incense of Tian Gong Temple, enhancing the depth and breadth of religious visits and tea garden tourism.
