Tea Culture and Wellness Park Introduction
The Songbailing area in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, offers a commanding view of the Changhua and Yunlin plains. Its strategic importance became evident during wartime, leading the military to establish various artillery positions in the area for defense purposes. To align with the overall tourism development of the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, this site revitalizes the local features by transforming the bunkers into new recreational experiences. Within a tea culture and wellness park, the artillery positions are greenified and integrated with tea garden imagery, creating spaces for tea tasting, scenic rest areas, military facilities renovation, the renovation of existing buildings, and incorporating water towers in the shape of teapots. This area is adjacent to the Tea Aroma Trail, where visitors can enjoy unobstructed views of the nearby tea plantations from the bunkers. By utilizing military resources alongside local attractions, it combines the scenic charm of Songbailing's tea district and enhances the depth and breadth of religious visits and tea tourism, buoyed by the flourishing incense of the Tian Gong Temple.
