Tea Culture and Wellness Park Introduction
The Songbailing area in Mingjian Township, Nantou County, offers a commanding view of the Changhua-Yunlin Plain, which increased its significance during wartime. The national military established various artillery positions in this region for defense purposes. To align with the overall tourism development of the Bagua Mountain Scenic Area, this location revitalizes the local features by transforming the bunkers into new recreational experiences. Within a tea culture and wellness zone, the artillery sites are greened, with facilities designed to blend with the imagery of tea gardens, creating spaces for tea tasting and leisure, enhancing scenic views, and repurposing military structures. The area is adjacent to the Tea Aroma Trail, and climbing up the bunkers allows visitors to overlook the nearby tea garden landscape. This initiative combines military resources released by the military with local assets to strengthen religious tourism and expand quality and depth in tea garden sightseeing.
