Changqing Bicycle Path Introduction
The Changqing Bicycle Path connects Tianzhong Forest Park and Qingshui Rock, and it is a shared path for both pedestrians and cyclists. Along the way, it features rich low-elevation ecology, and the mountain pavilions offer distant views of the vast plains and the high-speed rail passing by, making it popular among cyclists and local residents. The Changqing Bicycle Path is approximately 6 kilometers long, and it can be divided into ordinary and challenging levels based on surface flatness and slope. The ordinary route is nearly 4 kilometers long, passing by Zantian Temple and Qingshui Rock, and reaching Hutian Temple in Shetou Township. The slope of this section is relatively gentle, making it a great choice for family outings and fitness activities; the challenging route is about 2 kilometers long and marked as 7100 meters at the endpoint, which is why it is also known as the "Seven Thousand Road." This section features steep and rugged slopes, requiring more physical effort for cycling. It is recommended for cyclists to prepare adequately and choose a route suitable for their physical condition. Every year around the spring equinox in March, flocks of Grey-faced Buzzards migrate through the Bagua Mountain Range, and the endpoint of the challenging route is very close to the Hengshan Eagle Watching Platform, attracting many cyclists to enjoy the thrill of riding while spotting the eagles soaring in the sky. Additionally, the Paulownia blossom season in late spring and early summer is also not to be missed; riding a bicycle while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Paulownia flowers and feeling the mountain breeze offers a dreamy experience that is a great delight.
