Changqing Bicycle Path Introduction
The Changqing Bicycle Path connects Tianzhong Forest Park and Qingshui Rock, serving as a shared route for both pedestrians and cyclists. Along the way, it boasts rich low-altitude ecology, and the pavilions in the mountains offer breathtaking views of the vast plains and the sight of high-speed trains passing by, making it a favorite among cyclists and local residents. The Changqing Bicycle Path is approximately 6 kilometers long and can be categorized into general and challenging levels based on the terrain's flatness and gradient. The general route spans nearly 4 kilometers, passing by Zantian Temple and Qingshui Rock, extending to Huatian Temple in Shetou Township. This path has a gentler slope, making it a great choice for family outings and fitness activities. The challenging route, approximately 2 kilometers long, is also known as the "7,100 Meter Route" as its endpoint is marked at 7100 meters. The steep and rugged terrain along this route requires more physical effort to ride, so cyclists are advised to prepare thoroughly and choose a route that suits their physical condition. Every year around the spring equinox in March, flocks of Grey-faced Buzzards pass over the Bagua Mountains, and the endpoint of the challenging route is very close to the Hengshan Eagle Watching Platform, attracting many cyclists who enjoy the thrill of riding the winds before coming here to witness the spectacular sight of eagles soaring in the sky. Additionally, the Paulownia flower season in late spring and early summer is also a must-see; cycling while admiring the beauty of Paulownia flowers and feeling the gentle mountain breeze is a dreamlike experience and a great pleasure.
