Changqing Bicycle Path Introduction
The Changqing Bicycle Path connects Tianzhong Forest Park and Qingshui Rock, serving as a shared bike and pedestrian path. Along the route, there is rich low-altitude ecology, and the mountain pavilions offer a panoramic view of the vast plains and the sight of high-speed trains passing by, which is loved by cyclists from all over and local residents alike. The Changqing Bicycle Path is approximately 6 kilometers long and is divided into regular and challenging levels based on the smoothness and slope of the terrain. The regular route is nearly 4 kilometers long, passing by Zantian Temple and Qingshui Rock, leading to Hutiangong in Shetou Township, featuring a milder slope, making it a great choice for family outings and fitness activities. The challenging route is about 2 kilometers long, indicated by a sign of 7100 meters at the end, and is also known as the "Seven Thousand Route." This route has steep and rugged slopes, requiring considerable physical effort while cycling, so it is advisable for riders to prepare adequately and choose a route that suits their physical condition. Every year around the vernal equinox in March, groups of Grey-faced Buzzards migrate over the Bagua Mountain Range. The end of the challenging route is very close to the Hengshan Eagle Watching Platform, attracting many cyclists to enjoy the thrill of the ride before coming here to witness the rare sight of eagles soaring in the sky. Additionally, the tung blossom season in late spring to early summer is also a must-see, where one can enjoy the beautiful scene of tung flowers while cycling and feeling the mountain breeze—a dreamy experience that is a great pleasure.
