Changqing Bicycle Path Introduction
The Changqing Bicycle Path connects Tianzhong Forest Park and Qingshui Rock, featuring a shared path for both pedestrians and cyclists. Along the route, one can enjoy a rich low-elevation ecosystem, while the pavilions in the mountains provide a panoramic view of the vast plains and the high-speed trains zipping by, making it a favorite among cyclists and local residents alike. The Changqing Bicycle Path is approximately 6 kilometers long and can be divided into two levels based on surface flatness and gradient: regular and challenging. The regular route is nearly 4 kilometers long and passes by Zantian Temple and Qingshui Rock, extending to Hutian Temple in Shetou Township. The incline is relatively gentle, making it a great choice for family outings and fitness activities. On the other hand, the challenging route spans about 2 kilometers, marked by a sign indicating 7100 meters, and is also known as the "Seven Thousand Route." This path features steep and rugged terrain that requires more physical exertion, so it is advisable for cyclists to prepare adequately and choose a route that suits their fitness level. Every year around the spring equinox in March, flocks of Grey-faced Buzzards migrate through the Bagua Mountains, and the endpoint of the challenging route is very close to the Hengshan Eagle Watching Platform, attracting many cyclists who seek the thrill of riding in the wind and enjoy the rare sight of soaring eagles in the sky. Additionally, the Tung Flower season in late spring and early summer is a must-see; cycling while admiring the beautiful Tung Flowers and feeling the mountain breeze offers a dreamlike experience that is truly enjoyable.
