Tashan Geology Introduction
The giant rock peak at the top of Mount Ta is also known as Gotō Rock. The rock formations are characterized by clear layering and steep cliffs, creating unique and striking views. By hiking up the Ta Mountain Trail next to the Sisters Pond, you can reach the observation platform on the unusual rock, offering a wide-angle view that allows you to take in the surrounding scenery. The area showcases the amusement park and the stream landscapes of the Alishan region, as well as opportunities to see sea of clouds and beautiful sunsets, with distant views of Yushan Main Peak, Xuguluan Mountain, and the surrounding mountain ranges.
