The giant rock peak at the top of Tashan, also known as Gotō Rock, features distinct geological layering and sheer cliffs, forming a spectacular landscape of rugged rocks. By hiking up the Tashan Trail next to Sisters Pond, you can reach the viewing platform on the strange rock, which offers an ultra-wide-angle view allowing you to take in the surrounding scenery. From here, you can overlook the recreational area and the river landscape of Alishan, as well as enjoy beautiful views of the sea of clouds and evening glow, with distant vistas of Yushan, Xiuguluan Mountain, and Duigaoyue among other mountain landscapes.
