The giant rock peak at the top of Tarshan is also known as Gotō Rock. The rock formations are characterized by distinct jointing layers and sheer cliffs, creating rugged and unique shapes that are a stunning spectacle. Hikers can take the Tarshan Trail from the Sisters' Pond to reach the observation platform on the strange rock, where the wide-angle view offers a panoramic perspective of the surrounding scenery. From this vantage point, visitors can overlook the amusement area and the river landscapes of the Alishan region, as well as enjoy beautiful sights of the sea of clouds, sunset glow, and distant mountains such as Yushan, Xuguluan Mountain, and Duigaoyue.
