Southern Sky Giant Screen Introduction
Nantian Giant Screen is located in Ruifeng Village, Meishan Township, Chiayi County, and is one of the "Ten Scenic Spots of Ruifeng." It is a magnificent cliff composed of giant sandstone, approximately 60 meters high and 200 meters wide, dramatically standing at the 37K mark of County Road 162甲. This natural rock wall is not only a stunning geological wonder but due to its unique topographical characteristics, it blocks the cold northern winds from hitting the village in winter, serving as a natural barrier that protects Ruifeng Village. As a result, the settlement, located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters, can maintain a relatively pleasant climate even in the harsh winter. Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of this screen-like formation from the "Lai Kun-yang's Home" wooden lodge; for those who wish to experience it up close, there are short trails and resting pavilions located at the base of the cliff, allowing travelers to gaze in awe at this great wall of the earth. Nantian Giant Screen not only allows you to appreciate the magnificent rock wall but also experience the rich natural beauty. After admiring the stunning cliff, you can also visit the nearby 1314 Viewing Platform, where you can fully experience the rich nature and landscape scenery of Ruifeng Village amidst the refreshing scent of tea plantations.
