Yuan Tan Ecological Park Introduction
Located at 71.5K County Road 166, near the Rui Li No. 1 Bridge. The park features clear water quality and a tranquil natural environment, where one can observe wild birds, butterflies, beetles, fireflies, and frogs. It is a green trail that combines ecology and leisure. The pathways in the park mainly consist of wooden walkways and stone walls. The mountain trail not only includes wooden paths but also stable and easy-to-walk imitation wooden staircase paths, providing excellent views. The Yuan Tan Creek flows through strata composed of sandstone and shale, characterized by well-developed joints, resulting in multiple-tiered waterfalls and pot holes, towering cliffs, narrow valleys, and steep slopes, making it an ideal location to observe mid-elevation valley landscapes. In addition, the environment is rich in moisture and has extremely high humidity, which is suitable for moisture-loving parasitic plants to thrive. Common tree species include Camphor tree, Cinnamon tree, Mountain Sweet Gum, and Taiwan Hackberry, while epiphytes include Bird's Nest Fern and Ginger Fern. The unique terrain and environmental conditions weave an incredibly rich ecological system in this park.
