Yuan Tan Ecological Park Introduction
Located at County Road 166, 71.5K, near the RuiLi No. 1 Bridge. The park features clear water and a serene natural environment, where you can see wild birds, butterflies, beetles, fireflies, frogs, and more. It is a green trail that integrates ecology and leisure. The trails within the park consist mainly of wooden boardwalks and stone walls. The mountain trail not only has boardwalks but also has imitation wooden step trails that are stable and easy to walk on, providing excellent views. The Yuan Tan Stream flows through a layer of sandstone and shale interbedding, and due to well-developed joints, it features multiple-level waterfalls, plunge pools, towering cliffs, narrow valleys, and steep slopes, making it the best spot to observe mid-elevation stream valley landscapes. In addition, the environment is rich in moisture and has extremely high humidity, suitable for the growth of moisture-loving epiphytic plants. Common trees include the large-leaved camphor, fragrance leaf tree, mountain camphor tree, and Taiwan hackberry. Epiphytic plants include mountain ferns and cliff ginger ferns. The unique terrain and environmental conditions create an incredibly rich ecosystem in this park.
