Green Tunnel Introduction
This beautiful agricultural road is a vital path that supports the industry, as well as a popular hiking route in Ruili. It was once the scene of a martial arts film and serves as an important venue for the bamboo forest tea ceremony in Ruili. Following the line from the southwestern end, after passing through a couple of twists and turns, you arrive at the main section situated between elevations of 1,100 and 1,150 meters. If this journey can be likened to a suite, the bordering bamboo forests, preceding vegetable plots, tea gardens, and peach and plum trees serve as an engaging overture. During this journey, the Taiwan Scaly Thrush and the Brownish-flanked Bush Warbler can be heard chirping, drawn not only by the numerous insects under the bamboo but also seemingly enjoying the beauty of this mountain forest. After the initial opening, the scene transitions to a lush green bamboo sea. On both sides of the road, dense bamboo groves arch gracefully, creating a green tunnel. Sitting by the roadside for a brief rest, you can listen to the gentle rustling of the breeze; beneath the bamboo shade, common forest plants in the Alishan area, such as Begonia roxburghii, also display vibrant vitality. Eventually, you arrive at the viewing pavilion at the end of the farm road, next to a connecting path that leads to the "Wild Ginger Flower Creek Trail." The stone steps extending upward at the back lead through a patch of "Pseudosasa japonica" bamboo and connect to the entrance and exit of County Road 166 at the 81-kilometer mark, as well as the nearby Ruishan Ancient Trail trailhead.
