Green Tunnel Introduction
This beautiful agricultural road is an essential route for sustaining the industry and a popular hiking trail in RuILI. It was once a scene in wuxia films and serves as an important venue for the bamboo tea ceremony in RuILI. Following the line from the southwestern end, after passing through a couple of bends, you will arrive at the main section situated between the elevation contours of 1,100 and 1,150 meters. If this journey is likened to a suite, the surrounding bamboo groves, along with the vegetable patches and tea plantations in the early part, as well as the peach and plum trees, provide an intriguing overture. Along the way, birds like the Taiwan Blue Magpie and the Black-faced Bunting chirp in harmony, attracted by the numerous insects beneath the bamboo, seemingly enjoying this beautiful mountain scenery. After the opening sequence, the view shifts to a lush bamboo sea. On both sides of the road, dense bamboo groves arch in a bow, resembling a green tunnel. Taking a moment to rest by the roadside, you can hear the gentle rustling of the breeze; under the bamboo shade, common forest plants like the Begonia glabra from the Alishan area display vibrant vitality. Eventually, you reach the viewing pavilion at the end of the farm road, next to a connecting path that leads to the "Wild Ginger Flower Creek Trail." There, a stone staircase rises behind, leading through a section of bamboo groves and onward to the entrance at kilometer 81 of County Road 166, as well as the nearby RuI Tai Ancient Trail trailhead.
