Tefuye Trail (Giant Camphor Trees Group) Introduction
Some sections (the Camphor Tree section) are closed for safety reasons; please do not enter the closed areas. When mentioning Tehuayo, most people naturally think of the Tehuayo Historic Trail, but the Tehuayo Trail and the Tehuayo Historic Trail are two different trails. In comparison, the Tehuayo Trail is easier to walk. This trail starts at the Dabaan Suspension Bridge, circles the Tehuayo Village, and overall forms a loop connecting the two settlements of Tehuayo and Dabaan. The pavilion at the trailhead offers a view of the Iskian Canyon. Walking from the brightly colored Dabaan Suspension Bridge onto the trail, most of it consists of steep wooden boardwalks, but the elevation changes are not drastic, making it smooth and easy to walk, with plenty of shaded areas to avoid excessive sun exposure. At the high point where the view opens up, the nearby Dabaan Village and distant green mountains come into sight, with thriving bamboo forests and giant camphor trees scattered along the way, creating a beautiful landscape with rich ecology. Deeper into the bamboo forest, there are several traditional Tsou-style thatched pavilions for travelers to rest.
