Taihing Rock Trail Introduction
Taihing Rock Trail is at an elevation of approximately 850 meters and is 650 meters long, meandering through tea plantations and original forests. In recent years, with the promotion of hiking trails, Taihing Rock Trail has gradually become a major resting spot for visitors on their way to Ruijili. The trailhead is located beside County Road 166 and features a viewing platform and an information board, offering a wide view. The trail is situated among expansive tea fields, providing a serene and elegant landscape. Walking along the ridge of the trail, one can experience rich ecology and often have the chance to see endemic bird species such as the Taiwan Blue Magpie; other species like the Taiwan Rhododendron bloom in clusters of vibrant colors every April and May. At the end of the trail lies "Taihing Rock," a place of solemn tranquility and the faith center for the villagers of Taihing. The century-old plum tree and the Moso bamboo forest behind the temple present an aura of antiquity and charm.
