Bamboo Forest Leisure Agricultural Area Introduction
The Zhu Lin Leisure Agriculture Area is located next to the South Cross-Island Highway in Liukuei District, with an altitude ranging from 400 meters to 1300 meters. The climate is mild, and from the peak, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the Central Mountain Range’s rolling hills and overlook the gentle flow of the Baolai River. Especially during the winter and spring seasons, the garden is filled with blooming plum and peach trees, creating a stunning sea of flowers that makes one feel as if they have entered a paradise. In the early days, the area primarily focused on bamboo cultivation and the production of bamboo shoots and dried bamboo shoots, which is how the name “Zhu Lin” originated. In 2001, under government guidance and planning, the "Zhu Lin Leisure Agriculture Area" was established to introduce leisure agriculture. The area is characterized not only by plums and plum blossoms but also offers different experiences throughout the seasons, making it an emerging tourist attraction. A suggested stay of about 1 hour is recommended. Due to poor road conditions between Baolai and Zhu Lin, please drive safely and contact local farmers in advance to confirm details before traveling.
