Zhulin Leisure Agricultural Zone Introduction

The Zhulin Leisure Agricultural Area is located beside the South Cross-Island Highway in Liugui District, at an elevation between 400 meters and 1,300 meters above sea level. The climate is mild, and from the peaks, one can enjoy a distant view of the Central Mountain Range's layered green hills and overlook the gently flowing Baolai River. Especially during the winter and spring seasons, the area is filled with blooming plum and peach blossoms, creating a sea of flowers that makes one feel like they've entered a paradise. Originally, the local economy was based on bamboo cultivation and the production of bamboo shoots and dried bamboo shoots, which is where the name "Zhulin" comes from. In 2001, with government guidance and planning, the "Zhulin Leisure Agricultural Area" was established to promote leisure agriculture. Besides the plums and plum blossoms, the area offers different seasonal experiences throughout the year, making it an emerging tourist attraction. It is recommended to stay for about one hour. Due to poor road conditions between Baolai and Zhulin, please pay attention to driving safety when traveling there and it is advised to contact local farmers in advance to confirm your visit.
