Kueibang Rock Introduction
Guiwang Rock is located beside the Laonong River in the Liugui District. It is a majestic mountain rock resembling a king, akin to a turtle king, accompanied by blooming yellow cypress trees. According to local legend, there are six rocks scattered in the Laonong Riverbed beneath the Liugui Bridge. Viewed from afar, these six giant stones appear like six turtles swimming in the river, leading ancestors to name this place "Liugui." The largest rock is referred to as Guiwang Rock, where a small shrine has been established for daily worship, with offerings of cabbage and carrots to seek protection from floods. Even after Typhoon Morakot, it still stands silently by the Laonong River, waiting for the people of Liugui. It is recommended to stay for about 15 minutes; after a simple worship ritual, visitors can also enjoy the surrounding scenery of the Laonong River.
