Shihba Lohan Mountain Service Area Introduction
The Shih-Wei Mountain Service Area is located at about 5K on Provincial Highway 27A in Liouguei District, next to the Laonong River. In collaboration with the Maolin National Scenic Area Administration and the Forestry Bureau, the Shih-Wei Mountain Visitor Service Area has been renovated. It features a sales shop and public restrooms, along with a newly constructed landscape bridge connecting the elevated ground on the south side, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty of the Laonong River Valley, weathered rocks, and mountain scenery from different perspectives. If you would like to learn more about the features of Shih-Wei Mountain, you can request a guided tour service from the Shih-Wei Mountain Natural Humanities Association, which currently operates on a reservation basis. If you want to glimpse the protected area's landscape, please apply online through the Pingtung Forest District Office 5 days in advance. It is recommended to stay for about 1 hour, and with professional guided services, you can gain a deeper understanding of the local cultural and historical context!
