Bitou Cape Trail Introduction

Challenge the Northeast Coast Mini Great Wall and enjoy the breathtaking views where the sky meets the sea. The lush green mountain ridges, winding brown trails, and the blue sky with white clouds interweave to create picturesque scenery. The Bitou Cape Trail has become one of the popular photo spots in northern Taiwan. With a bit of effort and patience to climb, beautiful pictures from various angles are easily within reach. In fact, this place has long been a beloved hiking base for many outdoor enthusiasts. The wooden planked trail stretches about 3.5 kilometers, revealing magnificent bay and cape landscapes, fantastic coastal erosion formations, crashing waves, and thriving seashore vegetation along the way. With a 360-degree panoramic view, the entire Northeast Coast is at your feet, showcasing the spectacular scenery of the sea and sky. To fully appreciate the beauty of the Bitou Cape Trail, it's recommended to set aside 2 to 3 hours, allowing for a leisurely stroll through the layers of mountains and enjoy the expansive coastal views. No matter when you visit, you can discover the unique charm of this place: in the morning, with mist enveloping the mountains and trails, adding a touch of mystery; at noon, the bright sun enhances the brilliance of the blue sky and the scenic mountains and sea, weaving a postcard-like picturesque scene; in the evening, the warm yellow sunset attracts many photographers capturing the last rays of light. The Bitou Cape (Coastal Line) Trail is only open for academic and official use upon application. 2. The Bitou Cape Trail Lighthouse Line is temporarily closed for safety due to steep terrain and severe weathering of the rock layers, which pose a danger of falling rocks. The Bitou Cape Lighthouse is also not open for public visits.
