Chilinsan Forest Trail Introduction
Qilin Mountain Forest Trail, also known as the Changqing Hiking Trail, is a less-known hiking path located behind Zhan Tian Temple and Pu Hsing Temple in Tianzhong Township. The trail is approximately 1.4 kilometers long and primarily runs under Acacia trees. The elevation change along the trail is not significant, and it forms a loop, making it suitable for family recreation. The scenery along Qilin Mountain Forest Trail is quite beautiful, especially along the ridge section, where visitors can have a panoramic view of Tianzhong Township. The trail consists of four sections: the first section leads from Zhan Tian Temple to Pu Hsing Temple, connecting to a stairway that leads to the Changqing Bicycle Path. The second section involves climbing stairs from the starting point to the highest resting and picnic area. The third segment goes along the ridge from the resting area to a pavilion. The fourth section descends from the pavilion along an access road back to the trail's starting point and then follows the original trail down the mountain.
