Juguang Tower Introduction
Facing the beautiful scenery of Jincheng and backed by the Fenglianshan Mountain range, a visit to Kinmen is not complete without climbing the Juguang Tower to gaze upon the landscape of Kinmen. Juguang Tower serves as a spiritual symbol of Kinmen, showcasing a unique architectural beauty by placing a traditional city gate on a modern building's base, constructed in 1952 to honor the valiant acts of soldiers in various battles in Kinmen. The tower stands three stories high, with each floor featuring different exhibition themes, the most famous being General Hu Lian's Order of the Blue Sky and White Sun. From 1959 to 1964, Juguang Tower was featured four times as a theme for Republic of China postage stamps, reaching both domestic and international audiences and becoming a famous landmark in battle-torn Kinmen, also serving as the best representative of that time.
