Juguang Tower Introduction
Facing the beautiful scenery of Jincheng and backed by the Fenglian Mountain Range, a visit to Kinmen is not complete without climbing the Juguang Tower to gaze at the stunning views of Kinmen! Juguang Tower, as a symbol of Kinmen's spirit, is uniquely designed by placing a traditional Chinese city tower on a modern architectural base, creating a distinctive aesthetic. This building was constructed in 1952 to commemorate the bravery of soldiers during various battles in Kinmen. It stands three stories high, with each floor showcasing different themes, the most famous being General Hu Lien's Order of the Blue Sky and White Sun. Between 1959 and 1964, Juguang Tower was featured four times as the theme for stamps by the Republic of China Postal Administration, spreading its image worldwide, and it, along with the "Never Forget Juguang" inscription, became a well-known landmark in the wartime Kinmen, serving as its best representative.
