Fenglian Mountain Muma Temple Introduction
The temple, dedicated to "Kaiwu Enzhu" Chen Yuan, is a traditional three-section ancient temple reconstructed during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty and is listed as a county-designated historic site. Legend has it that Chen Yuan frequently manifested to repel invaders and protected the villagers, leading the imperial court to order the construction of a grand temple with seven courtyards and grant it the plaque "Fuji." He was posthumously titled "Holy Marquis of Blessings," which is the origin of the Muma Marquis Temple. Inside the temple, there are ancient plaques from the Fuji era and ancient stones from the Qing period. Additionally, the dragon and tiger walls on both sides of the temple, as well as the ridge decorations made of painted clay and exquisite sculptures, are all worth careful appreciation.
