Eco Park Low Carbon Education Center Introduction
The "Environmental Park Low Carbon Education Center" is the first exhibition hall in Kinmen that combines environmental education and low-carbon issues, presented through interactive experiences. The exhibition hall is located next to the bus parking lot at Shangi Airport, welcoming visitors of all ages to hold hands and explore Kinmen's low-carbon initiatives from different perspectives. Facilities inside the center include: - Environmental Park Interpretation Area: This area introduces the past, present, and future of the Environmental Park while explaining the history of porcelain clay mining in Kinmen. - Circular Theater: With a capacity of forty seats, this theater screens the circular microfilm "Grandma's Memories," filmed in full-screen format with five showings daily at 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00. - Low Carbon Exploration Hall: Through interactive experiences, visitors can learn about carbon footprints, water resources, energy types, green architecture, resource recycling, and the achievements of Kinmen's low-carbon island initiative. Outdoor facilities include: - Green Roof / Green Hedge: The former is located above the circular theater and is the first green roof in Kinmen using thin-layer greening technology, while the latter is alongside the exhibition hall, both primarily providing insulation and cooling effects for the center. - Renewable Energy Facilities: On the rooftop, there are 7.5 kW solar photovoltaic panels and a 3 kW wind turbine, paired with storage batteries to make full use of renewable energy.
