EcoPark Low Carbon Education Center Introduction
The "Environmental Park Low Carbon Education Center" is the first exhibition hall in Kinmen that integrates environmental education and low carbon issues, presented through interactive experiences. The exhibition hall is located next to the bus parking lot of Shangi Airport and welcomes visitors of all ages to join together to learn about low carbon living in Kinmen from different perspectives. Hall Facilities: - Environmental Park Interpretation Area: Introduces the past, present, and future of the Environmental Park, and explains the history of Kaolin clay mining in Kinmen. - Circular Theater: Accommodates forty people and screens a circular microfilm titled "Grandma's Thoughts", filmed with full-screen technique, with five daily showtimes at 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00. - Low Carbon Exploration Center: An interactive experience area that helps visitors understand carbon footprints, water resources, types of energy, green buildings, resource recycling, and the achievements of Kinmen in promoting low carbon island. Outdoor Facilities: - Green Roof / Green Hedge: The former is situated above the circular theater and is the first green roof in Kinmen using thin-layer greening technology, while the latter is located on the side of the exhibition hall; both primarily provide insulation and cooling effects for the hall. - Renewable Energy Facilities: Equipped with 7.5 kW solar photovoltaic panels and a 3 kW wind turbine on the roof, along with energy storage batteries, to make full use of renewable energy.
