Environmental Park Low Carbon Education Center Introduction
The "Low Carbon Education Center at Environmental Park" is the first exhibition hall in Kinmen that combines environmental education with low carbon issues, presented in an interactive experience format. The exhibition hall is located next to the bus parking lot at Shangyi Airport. We welcome everyone, young and old, to join hands and explore low carbon living in Kinmen from different perspectives. Facilities in the hall: - Environmental Park Interpretation Area: Introduces the past, present, and future of the Environmental Park and explains the history of the extraction of Kinmen clay. - Circular Theater: With a seating capacity of forty, it screens the immersive circular micro-film "Grandma's Memories," filmed in full panorama, five times daily at 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00. - Low Carbon Exploration Hall: Through interactive experiences, it guides visitors to learn about carbon footprints, water resources, types of energy, green buildings, recycling, and Kinmen's efforts in promoting a low carbon island. Outdoor facilities: - Green Roof/Green Hedge: The former is located above the circular theater and is Kinmen's first green roof using thin-layer greening technology, while the latter is on the side of the exhibition hall, both primarily providing insulation and cooling effects for the hall. - Renewable Energy Facilities: Equipped with 7.5 kW solar photovoltaic panels and a 3 kW wind turbine installed on the rooftop, along with energy storage batteries to fully utilize renewable energy.
