Eco Park Low-carbon Education Center Introduction
The "Environmental Park Low Carbon Education Center" is the first exhibition hall in Kinmen that combines environmental education and low carbon topics, presented in an interactive experience format. The exhibition hall is located next to the bus parking lot at Shangi Airport, welcoming both young and old to hold hands and explore low carbon education together in Kinmen from different perspectives. Facilities inside the hall: - Environmental Park Interpretation Area: Introduces the past, present, and future of the Environmental Park and explains the history of clay soil extraction in Kinmen. - Circular Theater: Accommodates 40 people and screens a circular microfilm titled "Grandma's Thoughts," filmed in full-screen format, with five daily showings at 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00. - Low Carbon Exploration Hall: Takes visitors on an interactive journey to understand carbon footprints, water resources, types of energy, green buildings, resource recycling, and the achievements of Kinmen in promoting a low carbon island. Facilities outside the hall: - Green Roof / Green Fence: The former is located above the circular theater and is Kinmen's first green roof utilizing the thin-layer greening method, while the latter is located beside the exhibition hall, both primarily providing insulation and cooling effects for the hall. - Renewable Energy Facilities: The rooftop is equipped with 7.5 kW solar panels and a 3 kW wind turbine, along with energy storage batteries to make full use of renewable energy.
