Environmental Park Low Carbon Education Center Introduction

The "Environmental Park Low Carbon Education Center" is the first exhibition hall in Kinmen that combines environmental education and low carbon issues, presented through interactive experiences. The exhibition hall is located next to the bus parking lot at Shangyi Airport, welcoming visitors of all ages to join hands and explore low carbon initiatives in Kinmen from different perspectives. Facilities inside the center include: - Environmental Park Interpretation Area: Introduces the past, present, and future of the Environmental Park, detailing the history of ceramic clay extraction in Kinmen. - Circular Theater: Seats forty people and screens a circular microfilm titled "Grandma's Thoughts," filmed in full screen format, with five daily screenings at 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00, and 16:00. - Low Carbon Exploration Hall: Offers interactive experiences for visitors to understand carbon footprints, water resources, types of energy, green buildings, recycling, and Kinmen's efforts to promote a low-carbon island. Outdoor facilities include: - Green Roof/Green Hedge: The former is located above the circular theater and is the first green roof in Kinmen implemented with a thin-layer greening method, while the latter is on the side of the exhibition hall, both primarily providing insulation and cooling effects for the exhibition hall. - Renewable Energy Facilities: Equipped with 7.5 kW solar photovoltaic panels and a 3 kW wind turbine, along with energy storage batteries, to ensure the comprehensive utilization of renewable energy.
