Qionglin Cai Clan Ancestral Hall Introduction
Built in the 8th year of the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1529), its ornate exterior and interior decorations are considered the crown of Kinmen ancestral halls. The ridge, gable, and waterwheel blocking are adorned with exquisite cut clay and mud sculptures. The brackets under the main beam are carved with the characters for loyalty, filial piety, integrity, and chastity, reflecting the teachings of the Cai family. The main hall displays numerous plaques, signifying the prominence of the clan. On the exterior wall behind the building, there is a rare wind lion god statue.
