Ronghu Lake Introduction

A man-made lake created by damming the Jinshek Creek, it was established in 1972 and is one of the five major lakes in Kinmen. The lakeside is surrounded by windbreak trees and features small pavilions and arch bridges, with the notable Dongmei Pavilion, built in memory of the philosopher Fang Dongmei, and the Huxia Bridge that spans the center of the lake. At the southern shore, there is a famous Fengshui Lion with its big eyes and wide mouth, which is quite charming.
