Bao Yue An Introduction
Baoyue An, also known as Nan An, was built during the Ming Dynasty. It was originally located next to the Xujiang Xiaowo Stone Carving Group and the Wentai Pagoda, within the walls of today's Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Factory. The temple housed statues of Guanyin and Luohan. In front of the temple, there is a Baoyue Spring with excellent water quality. In 1953, when the Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Factory was established, it was dismantled to obtain water sources for brewing, and the liquor produced afterwards became the famous Kinmen Kaoliang liquor.
