Ouyang Chongyuan's Oceanic Mansion Introduction
The Western-style mansion in the Oucuo settlement is not only beautiful but also the first Western-style building in Kinmen. The founder, Ouyang Zhongyuan, made a fortune while doing business in Singapore and Malaysia, and he sent the money back to his hometown in Kinmen to construct this mansion. Completed in 1918, the luxurious Western-style building was praised at the time as the "Oucuo Building" and is also regarded as a driving force behind the trend of overseas Chinese returning to build Western-style houses.
