Ouyang Zhongyuan Building Introduction
The western-style building in the Oucuo settlement is not only beautiful but also the first western-style house in Kinmen. The founder, Ouyang Zhongyuan, made a fortune while doing business in Singapore, Malaysia, and other places, and then sent money back to his hometown in Kinmen to construct this building. Completed in 1918, this luxurious western-style house was praised at the time as the "Oucuo Building" and is also regarded as a driving force behind the trend of overseas Chinese returning home to build western-style houses.
