Kinhaven Coffee Cultural Center Introduction

The well-known local beverage brand in Taiwan, "King Car Beverages," is now open for visits in Zhongli! Whenever the familiar jingle of "Mr. Brown Coffee" plays in our ears, it surely brings to mind an image of a gentleman in a white suit, sporting a thick mustache, holding a cup of coffee in one hand and giving a thumbs up with the other. He is the trademark figure of Mr. Brown Coffee, a subsidiary of King Car Company, and one of the representative brands of canned coffee in Taiwan. King Car Company established a factory in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, in 1979 and launched "King Car Malt Root Beer," which caught the attention of consumers. Subsequently, they set up a coffee production line in the factory, beginning the production of canned coffee, which is now known as Mr. Brown Coffee, with Mr. Brown as its enduring trademark image. His Westernized appearance symbolizes its roots from Central and South America, aligning perfectly with the coffee's major production areas, which was the initial concept for designing the trademark. In May 1982, the first batch of Mr. Brown Coffee hit the market, achieving a high market share, and continues to develop various flavors of coffee to provide consumers with more diverse options. The green space planning within the Zhongli factory area is quite comprehensive, resembling a large park, which differentiates it from the typical image of factories. It even attracts newlyweds to take wedding photos on its grounds.
