King Car Coffee Cultural Center Introduction
The long-established Taiwanese beverage brand "King Car Beverage" is now open for visits in Zhongli! Whenever the catchy advertisement jingle for "Mr. Brown Coffee" plays in our ears, the image of a man in a white suit with a thick beard, holding a cup of coffee in one hand and giving a thumbs up with the other, undoubtedly comes to mind. He is the mascot of Mr. Brown Coffee, a trademark under King Car Company, and one of the representative brands of canned coffee in Taiwan. King Car Company established its factory in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City in 1979 and introduced "King Car Root Beer," which caught consumers' attention. Subsequently, the company set up a coffee production line in the factory, starting the production of canned coffee, now known as Mr. Brown Coffee, with Mr. Brown's image remaining unchanged as the trademark. The Westernized appearance of Mr. Brown symbolizes his origin from Central and South America, aligning perfectly with the regions where coffee is abundantly produced, which was the initial concept behind the trademark design. In May 1982, the first batch of Mr. Brown Coffee hit the market, quickly capturing a high market share, and continued to develop and launch different flavors of coffee, offering consumers more diverse options. The green landscaping in the Zhongli factory area is well-planned, resembling a large park, which contrasts with the typical image of factories and even attracts newlyweds to take wedding photos on-site.
