Walking into Chuan Xiang Culinary Gallery located on Yiyong Street in Bade District, you are greeted by the fragrant aroma of glutinous rice, which makes one feel as if they've returned to their grandmother's traditional courtyard kitchen. The owner hopes to use classic street snacks to evoke cherished memories of great flavors. In today's Taiwan, it's quite convenient to find food; with a snack stall on the left and a noodle shop on the right upon opening a door. However, enjoying well-prepared dishes made with traditional craftsmanship is not as easy. Chuan Xiang Culinary Gallery is different from typical snack and noodle shops, focusing on the glutinous rice sausage that those from the '50s and '60s would have enjoyed while watching performances at temple squares, bringing everyone back to their youthful days through cuisine.
