Walking into Chuanxiang Restaurant located on Yiyong Street in Bade District, the aroma of glutinous rice wafts through the air, making one feel as if they have returned to their grandmother's traditional courtyard kitchen. The owner hopes to use the flavor of old-fashioned street snacks to call people back, passing on the beautiful tastes from their memories. Nowadays in Taiwan, eating out is quite convenient, with a snack stall on the left and a noodle shop on the right upon stepping out. However, it is not so easy to find good dishes made with traditional craftsmanship. Chuanxiang Restaurant differs from typical snack noodle shops, focusing on the glutinous rice sausage that was a must-have for those born in the 50s and 60s when watching performances at the temple, bringing everyone back to their youthful days through food.
