Chuanxiang Restaurant Introduction
2016 Gold Medal Recommended Dishes: Squid Egg, Handcrafted Glutinous Rice Sausage. Walking into Chuanxiang Food Hall located on Yiyong Street in Bade District, the fragrant aroma of glutinous rice fills the air, making one feel as if they've returned to their grandmother's traditional courtyard kitchen. The owner hopes to use the flavors of old-fashioned street snacks as a call to preserve the delightful tastes of memory. In today's Taiwan, eating is quite convenient; there is a snack stall on the left and a noodle shop on the right as soon as you open the door. However, it's not easy to find well-cooked dishes made with traditional craftsmanship. Chuanxiang Food Hall is distinct from ordinary snack noodle shops, focusing on glutinous rice sausage that those born in the 1950s and 1960s used to eat while watching performances at temple fairs, taking everyone back to their youthful days through food.
