Taoyuan Ecological Ponds 1-4 Introduction
The No. 1-4 Ecological Ponds feature a 350-meter circular trail, ecological water pools, a log platform, scenic pavilions, wooden walkways, and other water recreation facilities. These setups not only help the ponds maintain their original functions but also enhance the space for visitors to connect with nature. The No. 1-4 Ecological Ponds are divided into two parts, with the larger one being the fish pond, which contains an array of unexpected fish species such as crucian carp, tilapia, Taiwan eel, catfish, carp, and the Ming-Tan crab. If you wish to learn more about these fish, there are fish prints displayed on the pillars of the pavilion for reference. On the other side of the fish pond is an ecological pool surrounded by cypress trees, sea pepper trees (also known as seven-mile fragrance), and willows. Strolling along the winding circular trail allows visitors to leisurely enjoy the tranquil beauty by the pond, and standing on the wooden platform offers the chance to spot white herons soaring just above the water, creating delightful surprises. In summer, the fragrant water lilies add vibrant colors to the pond, ensuring that the water birds do not have all the attention. Additionally, there is a step-style plaza by the pond, which can be used for sitting and enjoying the scenery as well as serving as a small performance venue.
