Taoyuan Ecological Ponds No. 1-4 Introduction
The Ecological Ponds No. 1-4 feature a 350-meter circular trail, ecological water pools, wooden platforms, scenic pavilions, and wooden walkways, among other water-friendly facilities. These elements not only help the ponds retain their original functions but also enhance the space for visitors to connect with nature. The Ecological Ponds are divided into two parts, with the larger one being a fish pond, which contains various unexpected fish species such as crucian carp, tilapia, Taiwan barbel, yellow catfish, carp, and the Ming Tan goby. If you want to learn more about them, fish prints are indicated on the columns of the pavilion for reference. On the other side of the fish pond is an ecological pool embraced by bald cypress, syzygium (also known as seven-mile fragrance), and willows. Strolling along the winding circular path allows for a leisurely appreciation of the tranquil beauty by the pond. Standing on the wooden platform, one can also catch a glimpse of egrets gliding low overhead, which is quite surprising. In summer, the water lilies brighten the pond, making it vibrant and beautiful, ensuring that water birds do not have all the glory. Additionally, there is a stepped plaza by the pond, which can be used for enjoying the scenery while sitting on the steps or as a small performance venue.
