The owner mentions that over the years, the restaurant’s decor has been updated several times, but the only unchanged furniture is the large cabinet on the back wall, which was handcrafted by the original owner when the restaurant started. This reflects Mr. Xu Zhenbiao's gratitude and filial piety towards his father's hard work in starting the business. Dining here, you can feel the warmth and comfort of home from the friendly hospitality of the owner's couple. The restaurant offers traditional Hakka delicacies such as traditional Hakka free-range chicken (which the artist Hu Gua loves) and stir-fried intestines with ginger, as well as innovative dishes like basil eggplant, all at economical prices and great value (the Hakka rice noodles at 40 NT dollars per plate are indeed a delicious bargain). Additionally, the complimentary dessert—the delicious brown sugar steamed cake—offers another surprise for food lovers.
