Xihu Resort - Yuhua Garden Chinese Restaurant Introduction
Miaoli County Signature Cuisine Certification Category: Chinese Cuisine; WiFi available; Xihu Resort is located in Xihu Village, Sanyi Township, Miaoli County (next to the Sanyi Interchange on National Highway 3), established in 1989 by Mr. Chen Ying-Sheng, a pioneer in the central construction industry. There is a natural lake called "De-Xing Pond" beside the park. De-Xing Pond was originally named "Guai-Zi Lake," where frogs gather and inhabit, creating a cacophony of croaks in summer. The name comes from the Hakka pronunciation of "frog," which is "Guai-Zi." In 1959, it was renamed De-Xing Pond. Since De-Xing Pond is located in Xihu Village, Sanyi Township, covering an area of about 10 hectares, surrounded by mountains, the scenery is exceptionally beautiful, comparable to the famous West Lake in Hangzhou, China. Local residents also refer to it as "West Lake." Mr. Chen Ying-Sheng hopes to combine the romantic misty landscape and wood sculpture art of Sanyi to create a resort renowned like Hangzhou's West Lake, thus naming the park "Xihu Resort."
