Hsiang Yi Rice Noodles Introduction
Founded in 1982, Tien Mao Co., Ltd. transformed into Hsiang Yi Food Co., Ltd. in January 2003, primarily producing rice flour. The operator, Lin Ming-Hsing, along with his wife, Ms. Li Chiu-Hsia, worked tirelessly to establish a rice flour factory. Ms. Li has been recognized for her dedication to agricultural transformation, continually researching and developing new products under the guidance of the rice production and marketing class of the Rice Farmers' Association in Kouhu Township. In 1994, she was awarded the National Top Ten Outstanding Agricultural Women, the "Shennong Award." Due to their top-notch production technology and strict quality control, their products gained favor with the Japanese, leading to exports to Japan and creating more employment opportunities for local women. To promote leisure tourism development in the industry, they have partnered with the Jinhou Leisure Agricultural Area visitor center to plan a series of experiential activities, offering outdoor teaching activities for primary and secondary schools, such as DIY rice noodle creative cooking.
