Founded in 1982, Tianmao Co., Ltd. Chenglong Factory was renamed Xiangyi Food Co., Ltd. in January 2003, specializing in the production of rice noodles. The founders, Mr. Lin Ming-Hsing and his wife, Ms. Li Qiu-Xia, worked tirelessly to establish the rice noodle factory. Ms. Li Qiu-Xia was honored with the National Top Ten Outstanding Farming Women Award (Shennong Award) in 1994 for her commitment to agricultural transformation and her continuous research and development of new products under the guidance of the Rice Production and Marketing Class of the Kouhu Township Farmers' Association. Due to their excellent production techniques and strict quality control, their products have gained favor with the Japanese market, which has also created more employment opportunities for local women. To promote the development of industrial leisure tourism, they have collaborated with the Jinhai Leisure Agricultural Area Visitor Center to plan a series of experiential activities, offering hands-on educational programs for elementary and middle schools, such as DIY creative rice noodle cooking classes.
