Hsiang Yi Rice Noodles Introduction
Founded in 1982, Tian Mao Co., Ltd. changed its name to Xiang Yi Food Co., Ltd. in January 2003, primarily producing rice noodles. The owner Lin Ming-Hsing and his wife Ms. Li Chiu-Hsia worked tirelessly to establish the rice noodle factory. Ms. Li Chiu-Hsia, dedicated to agricultural transformation, continuously researched and developed new products under the guidance of the rice production and marketing class of the Kouhu Township Farmers' Association, and in 1994, she received the prestigious "Shen Nong Award," recognizing her as one of the top ten outstanding rural women in the nation. Due to its excellent production techniques and strict quality control, the products gained favor with the Japanese, leading to exports to the Japanese market and creating more job opportunities for local women. To promote leisure and tourism development in the industry, a series of industrial experience activities have been planned in collaboration with the Jinhu Leisure Agriculture Area Visitor Center, offering outdoor teaching activities for elementary and middle schools, such as hand-made DIY rice noodle creative cooking.
