After retirement, she pursued her interest in making handmade nougat. She insists on creating healthy candies and is committed to using the best ingredients to replace the spices, colorings, and preservatives commonly found in the market. Her self-imposed standards of low sugar and low fat have garnered enthusiastic support from a wide range of consumers. Zheng Mama Handmade Nougat was selected as a classic souvenir in Pingtung County in 2008-2009 and recognized as one of Taiwan's top 100 specialty products in 2010.
