Zheng Mama Handmade Nougat Introduction
Zheng Mama Handcrafted Nougat is run by Huang Shuhui, who was originally a train service attendant for the 35th class of the Railway Catering Service. After retirement, she turned her interest into making handcrafted nougat. She insists on making healthy candies and is committed to using the best ingredients to replace commercial flavorings, colorings, and preservatives. Her self-imposed standards of low sugar and low fat have gained widespread support from consumers. Zheng Mama Handcrafted Nougat was selected as a Classic Souvenir in Pingtung County from 2008 to 2009 and was recognized as one of Taiwan's Top 100 Specialty Products in 2010.
