Renjia Liangmian (Original Store) Introduction
Founded in 1959 in the Air Force veteran village of Pingtung, the old brand "Ren Family Cold Noodles" currently has six locations across Taiwan. The owner mentions that Sichuan people excel at mixing sesame sauce with various foods, with noodles, cold noodles, and shredded chicken all being suitable for tossing. In the early days, cold noodles did not exist in Taiwan until people from other provinces arrived, leading to their popularity. There is no secret recipe for cold noodles; the ingredients used are common seasonings found in every household kitchen, with the key being the proportions. A mixture of thinned sesame paste with water, vinegar, soy sauce, and sweet soy sauce made from sugar, along with authentic Sichuan spicy oil that is both numbing and sharp, as well as garlic juice, peanut powder, and sesame oil, create the delicious flavor that Ren Family's recipe has passed down through generations.
