Forgotten Fulu Lane - Ice Sauce Camp Introduction
Lane 181, Guohua Street, Chiayi City, known as "Fulu Lane," was the route for candidates traveling to Tainan City during the Qing Dynasty's Tongzhi period. The Old House Revitalization Project has assisted in the renovation and repurposing of an old building in this lane, transforming it into "Ice Sauce Camp." This old house, which is 43 years old, is a mixed construction of wood and reinforced concrete, featuring wooden stairs and a second floor, along with hollowed-out iron windows, all exuding a nostalgic charm. After renting the space, a skilled craftsman was invited for repairs, dismantling wooden doors and iron flower windows to create wall decoration art, preserving the ambiance of the old era.
