Forgotten Fulu Alley - Ice Sauce Camp Introduction
Lane 181, Guohua Street, Chiayi City, commonly known as "Fu Lu Lane," served as the route for scholars traveling from Chiayi to Tainan during the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty. The Old House Renovation project aims to restore one of the old buildings in this lane, transforming it into "Ice Sauce Camp." This old house is 43 years old, featuring a mix of wooden structure and reinforced concrete. The stairs and the second-floor flooring are made of wood, and there are hollowed-out decorative iron windows, exuding the charm of bygone days. After renting the space, master craftsmen were invited to renovate it, disassembling wooden doors and iron flower windows to create wall decoration art, preserving the ambiance of the old era.
