Forgotten Fulu Lane - Ice Jam Camp Introduction
Lane 181, Guohua Street, Chiayi City, commonly known as "Fulu Lane," was the path taken by candidates from Chiayi to Tainan during the Qing Dynasty's Tongzhi period. The "Ice Sauce Camp" was created through a project to guide the restoration and repurposing of an old house in this lane. This old house, which is 43 years old, is a mixed structure of wood and reinforced concrete, featuring a wooden staircase and second-floor floorboards, as well as ornate iron windows that exude a sense of nostalgia. After leasing the property, skilled craftsmen were invited to carry out repairs, dismantling wooden doors and iron window decorations to create wall art installations, preserving the atmosphere of a bygone era.
