Central Fountain Introduction
A landmark of Chiayi people's spirit, the Central Fountain was built in the 59th year of the Republic of China (1970) during the tenure of Mayor Hsu Shih-Hsien. The fountain features 14 different variations and cycles approximately every 15 minutes, with water shooting up to 20 meters high. Especially beautiful at night, the fountain showcases a dazzling array of colorful changes. Nowadays, it has become a prominent feature for election campaigns, with candidates gathering with supporters at this site, solidifying its status as a symbol of the Chiayi people's spirit.
