Crispy Dou Dou Donut Introduction
Crispy Dou Dou Donuts, where "Dou Dou" means "comfort toy" in French. Stumbling through life, childhood innocence is like the afternoon sun; as long as there is a transparent doorway, it can illuminate a dim room. Located in a converted 80-year-old building near the cultural district of Chiayi, "Crispy Dou Dou Donuts" is such a place. The owner, Dinosaur, inherited the skill from his parents who sold crispy donuts in Wanhua, Taipei, and after retiring to Chiayi, passed on the craft to their son. Combining his interest in nostalgic old things, Dinosaur opened the shop in this old building on Zhongyi street. In addition to various flavors of crispy donuts, they offer tea, smoothies, sparkling drinks, and coffee, with prices ranging from TWD 50 to 100, making it very friendly. "Every adult was once a child," look! Here is a Doraemon ice machine, over there is an elephant statue, and on the table, a complete set of comic books... Amidst life's troubles, thankfully, there's this old house in Chiayi that guards our childhood innocence, just like Peter Pan's Neverland. When you hold a donut and are surrounded by many childhood toys, perhaps you can return to a pure childhood and forget your worries. 26 Zhongyi Street, West District, Chiayi City, 0915 700 919.
