Vegetable Market Hot Pot (Minsheng North Road) Introduction
A down-to-earth Taiwanese retro-style new dining experience. The recently opened Shuying Market Hot Pot on Minsheng North Road offers an all-you-can-eat vegetarian hot pot with a focus on "health." For 300 TWD, customers can enjoy approximately 40 types of fresh vegetables, eggs, tofu, rice, and noodles. Guests can pick their ingredients from a self-service counter, creating an illusion of shopping in a market. This design makes vegetarian culture more relatable. The space decor features a retro Taiwanese style, with familiar vintage plastic bowls placed on tables, boldly stating, "You decide the winner between vegetables and meat." There are six refreshing broth options available, as well as some rare selections like black corn, fruit bell peppers, and water chestnuts. The restaurant operates from the evening until midnight on weekdays, only adding lunch hours on weekends, making it a new option for late-night eats in Chiayi. Meat lovers need not worry; a variety of meat and seafood are available for a la carte orders, and pairs visiting after 10 PM can receive a complimentary plate of meat or clams. The owner feels that when customers say, "I didn't know eating vegetables could be so filling," all the efforts put into this venture feel worthwhile.
