Vegetable Market Hot Pot (Minsheng North Road) Introduction
A down-to-earth neo-retro Taiwanese dining experience. The newly opened Vegan Market Hotpot on Minsheng North Road offers an all-you-can-eat vegetable hotpot that incorporates the atmosphere of a traditional market into the dining environment, focusing on "health" with a 300 TWD all-you-can-eat vegetarian menu. It provides about 40 types of fresh vegetables, eggs, tofu products, rice, and noodles, allowing customers to help themselves from a buffet line, creating the illusion of shopping in a market. This design makes vegetarian culture more relatable. The interior decor features a Taiwanese retro style, with familiar vintage plastic bowls on the tables, boldly proclaiming "You decide the victory between vegetables and meat." There are six kinds of clear soup bases, and some rare selected vegetables are available, such as black corn, fruit peppers, and water chestnuts. It operates late into the night on weekdays and also opens for lunch on weekends, offering a new choice for late-night snacks in Chiayi. Meat lovers need not worry, as a variety of meat and seafood options are available for individual orders. If two people dine together after 10 PM, they receive a complimentary plate of meat or clams. The owner says when he hears customers say, "I didn't know vegetables could be so filling," he feels all his efforts are worthwhile.
