Governor's Hot Springs in San Francisco Introduction
The San Francisco Governor Hot Springs is a well-known large hot spring resort in the Jinshan District. The name "Governor" comes from the fact that during the Japanese colonial period, the Taiwan Governor's Office allocated 30,000 yen in May of Showa 13 to build this hot spring, which later led to the naming as the "San Francisco Governor Hot Springs." The main building of the hot spring resort was constructed by renovating the old new building hot spring guesthouse, resembling a classical Western-style villa. The second floor is a dining area where guests can enjoy delicious food, decorated in a refreshing marine style. The cuisine in the hot spring resort mainly features fresh seafood set meals, showcasing the exquisite flavors of Jinshan’s seafood. The most famous dish, "Kinmen Crab Hot Pot," is a highly popular delicacy within the resort, featuring a variety of fresh hot pot ingredients, complemented by the star "flower crab" or seasonal crabs, along with the resort’s special broth, allowing guests to enjoy fresh local ingredients while soaking in the hot springs, creating an immensely satisfying experience. Additionally, the Governor Set and Jade Set, with varied seafood and Jinshan's local specialty "sweet potatoes," are must-tries. The rooftop of the hot spring resort is divided into two sides for male and female open-air public baths; one side is the only place in Taiwan where guests can soak in hot springs while enjoying a view of the sea; the other side offers a distant view of the peaks and mist of Yangmingshan National Park, providing visitors with an unparalleled sense of refreshment and comfort.
