Shenkeng Agricultural Product Direct Sales and Tourist Service Center Introduction
Originally an old home of a tea farmer, it came into the hands of the sixth generation, Gao Yi-tai, just when traditional agriculture was undergoing transformation and leisure farming was on the rise. With the guidance of the Shenkeng Farmers' Association, by the end of 2002, the first floor's thirty-plus pings was transformed into a tourist service center. Everyone knows that Shenkeng is famous for its tofu; however, the tofu in Shenkeng actually comes from the neighboring Shiding District. Yet, because of the reputation of the tofu dishes made in Shenkeng Old Street, it has garnered media attention and gained fame.
