GRAIN-ROOT CORP, founded by Chairman Chen Ching-Yu, a professional pharmacist, was established in 1994. Chairman Chen believes that Chinese people are rice-eating individuals, and Japan has long added enzymes to rice to improve its quality. Therefore, GRAIN-ROOT CORP initially focused on selling “cooking enzymes,” and the name of the company is derived from the biological classification of “rice,” which belongs to the “Poaceae” family. In April 2005, the first GRAIN-ROOT Enzyme Lifestyle Pavilion opened here.
