Rihsi Tofu Pudding Introduction
Ri Xi Fen Yuan Dou Hua was started by Zhou Qing Chi around 48 or 49 years ago, laying the foundation for selling fen yuan (tapioca pearls) and shaved ice. In fact, Zhou Qing Chi's previous generation was already in the business of wholesale flour. Zhou Qing Chi thought that instead of exclusively selling fen yuan, it would be better to make fen yuan and dou hua (tofu pudding) using the materials available at home. The locals loved it, and visitors to Bixuan Temple came to try it as well, making it an affordable and delicious snack, becoming a well-known delicacy in Dongshan.
