Established in 1862, 100-Year Oil Rice has been serving the local community in Daxi, Taoyuan with rice-based products since its early years. The aim is to satisfy guests with simple yet authentic dishes, ensuring they feel their visit was worthwhile. Initially, the business started with a shoulder pole selling oil rice wrapped in lotus leaves, providing for families. As the business thrived, they transitioned to selling meat dumplings, catering to the needs of travelers with quick and convenient meals. The fourth generation took over in 1986, focusing on transforming the long-standing shop and creating a unique brand, making 100-Year Oil Rice a favorite among media outlets. With over 150 years of tradition, the hope is to continue for another century. They will keep developing new products and providing diverse purchasing options, allowing guests from various regions to learn more about Daxi and 100-Year Oil Rice.
