2022 Golden Medal Restaurant Yuji 100-Year Sticky Rice was established in 1862. In its early years, it served the local residents of Daxi, Taoyuan, with rice-based products, hoping to provide simple yet satisfying dishes to ensure guests have a fulfilling experience. Initially, it sold lotus leaf-wrapped sticky rice from a shoulder pole on the streets to support the family. As the business thrived, it shifted to selling meat rice dumplings for quick and convenient meals for travelers. The fourth generation took over in 1986, committed to transforming the old shop and creating their own brand, making Yuji 100-Year Sticky Rice a popular business featured in news media. With over 150 years of heritage, it aims to continue for another century. The future plans include ongoing development of new products and offering diverse purchasing options, allowing guests from various places to better understand Daxi and Yuji 100-Year Sticky Rice.
