The studio owner, Pan Xiurong, has dedicated over 20 years to researching and creating leather carving works driven by her strong interest in the craft. "Baihe" is Pan's name in her indigenous language, which sounds similar to "Lily" in English, hence the name "Baihe Studio." The studio's leather carving works include keychains, bracelets, long and short wallets, coin purses, and various bags, showcasing a diverse range of styles. The patterns on the leather accessories often incorporate motifs and imagery from local indigenous tribes such as the Amis and Kavalan, which are further extended and transformed. In recent years, Pan's son has also contributed with innovative designs that reflect the creativity of youth and a spirit of cultural research, providing new patterns for his mother’s creations, making the leather works more vibrant and creative. Currently, you can find Baihe Studio's works at local accommodations in Fengbin, such as Shitiyuan, Huanman, and the Xibulan Visitor Center (New Pacific No. 1) as well as the Houshan Story Museum.
