Lily Studio Introduction
"Baihe Studio" is located in Fengbin Township, Hualien County. The studio's owner, Pan Hsiu-Jeng, has devoted over 20 years to researching and creating leather carving art due to her deep interest in it. “Baihe” is Pan’s indigenous name, which is homophonous with the English word "Lily," hence the name of the studio. The leather carving works in the studio include keychains, bracelets, wallets, coin purses, and various sizes of bags. The style of the works is diverse, and the patterns on the leather accessories often incorporate the totems and imagery of the local Amis and Kavalan indigenous tribes along the east coast, while also being extended and transformed. In recent years, Pan’s son has added innovative designs inspired by youth creativity and cultural research, providing new patterns for his mother to use as creative material, making the leather works more vibrant and creative. Currently, Baihe Studio's works can be seen in local guesthouses in Fengbin, such as Shiti Cliff, Slowdown, as well as the Xibulan Visitor Center (New Pacific No. 1) and the Houshan Story Museum. The studio also offers leather carving DIY experiences, inviting interested friends not to miss out!
