"Baihe Studio" is located in Fengbin Township, Hualien County. The studio's owner, Pan Hsiu-Jeng, has immersed herself in the research and creation of leather carving crafts for over 20 years, driven by her strong interest in the art. "Baihe" is the name given in the native language of Pan's tribe, which sounds like the English word "Lily," hence the name "Baihe Studio." The studio's leather carving works include keychains, wristbands, long and short wallets, coin purses, and various bags, showcasing diverse styles. The patterns on the leather goods often incorporate totems and imagery from local indigenous groups such as the Amis and Kavalan people along the east coast, adding extensions and variations. In recent years, Pan's son has contributed youthful creativity and cultural research spirit, designing many innovative patterns for his mother to use as creative material, making the leather carving works more lively and creative. Currently, Baihe Studio's works can be seen in local homestays in Fengbin such as Shitiyuan, Huanman, as well as the Xibulan Tourist Center (New Pacific No. 1 Store) and the Houshan Story Museum. The studio also offers DIY leather carving experiences and welcomes interested friends not to miss out!
