Dadong-Dafeng Plain Forest Park Introduction
Dadongdafu Plain Forest Park is Taiwan's first plain forest park, boasting rich natural ecology with different seasonal attractions: flower viewing in spring, firefly and bird watching in summer, and maple leaf appreciation in autumn and winter. The park features North and South Loop bike paths, allowing visitors to ride bicycles while taking in the aroma of the forest. With some luck, you may spot a ring-necked pheasant foraging, while enjoying the sounds of chirping insects and birds. Surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coast Mountain Range, Dadongdafu Plain Forest Park offers expansive views, with a colorful sea of flowers in front of the service center during spring, and creatively designed installation art on the vast grasslands always catching the eyes of travelers, making it a popular photo spot. In March and April, the grass at night begins to glow with the fluttering of fireflies, with their numbers resembling a moving galaxy, captivating your gaze as you listen intently to the guide's explanations on this enriching ecological journey. During autumn and winter, the sweet osmanthus, red maples, and green maples flanking the South Loop bike path gradually change from green to yellow and then red, attracting many to enjoy the maple leaves and take photos. Riding on the South Loop bike path, listening to the rustling sound of maple leaves, and gazing at the vibrant maple forest, is an experience unique to Dadongdafu, embodying the romance of autumn and winter.
