Dapo Lake Ecological Park Introduction
Daan District Flatland Forest Park is Taiwan's first flatland forest park, boasting rich natural ecology. In spring, visitors can enjoy flower viewing; in summer, firefly and bird watching; and in autumn and winter, maple appreciation, each season offering its own unique charm. The park features the North Loop and South Loop bike paths, allowing people to cycle while taking in the refreshing forest air. With a bit of luck, one might spot the Formosan Blue Magpie foraging and listen to the sound of chirping insects and birds, making the cycling experience a delightful forest bath. Surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range, Daan District Flatland Forest Park offers vast vistas; in spring, visitors can admire the colorful flower sea in front of the service center, while the expansive grasslands host well-crafted installations that always capture the attention of travelers, making it a popular photo spot. In March and April, the grasslands light up with the flickering glow of fireflies, with their numbers resembling a moving galaxy, leaving visitors spellbound and eager to listen to the guide's explanations during a rich ecological tour. As autumn and winter arrive, the Chinese toon, Sweet Gum, and Blue Ash along the South Loop bike path gradually transition from green to yellow to red, attracting many to come and photograph the maple scenery. Cycling along the South Loop while listening to the rustling of the maple leaves and gazing at the vibrant maple forest is a unique experience that embodies the romantic atmosphere of autumn and winter that can only be felt at Daan District Flatland Forest Park.
