Daan Great Fortune Plain Forest Park Introduction
Daan-Dafu Flatland Forest Park is Taiwan's first flatland forest park, boasting rich natural ecology. Visitors can enjoy flower viewing in spring, firefly watching and birdwatching in summer, and maple leaf viewing in autumn and winter, each season offering a different charm. The park features the North Loop and South Loop cycling paths, allowing visitors to bike while absorbing the phytoncides. With a bit of luck, one might even see a ring-necked pheasant foraging for food, accompanied by the sounds of chirping insects and singing birds, making for a pleasant cycling experience amidst a forest bath. Surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range, Daan-Dafu Flatland Forest Park offers vast vistas. In spring, the colorful flower sea in front of the service center can be admired, while the expansive meadows showcase thoughtfully crafted installation art, always catching the eyes of travelers and becoming popular photo spots. In March and April, the grass at night begins to sparkle with glimmering fireflies, their numbers resembling a moving galaxy, making it hard to look away as visitors attentively listen to the guide’s explanations during an enriching ecological journey. During autumn and winter, the casuarina, sweet gum, and green maple trees along the South Loop cycle path gradually change from green to yellow and then red, drawing many visitors for maple viewing and photography. Biking along the South Loop, one can listen to the rustling of maple leaves and gaze up at the stunning maple forest, truly experiencing the romantic ambiance unique to Daan-Dafu during the autumn and winter seasons.
