Dahu Dafu Plain Forest Park Introduction
Daanong Dafu Plain Forest Park is Taiwan's first plain forest park, featuring rich natural ecology. In spring, visitors can enjoy flower viewing; in summer, firefly watching and bird watching; and in autumn and winter, maple leaf viewing, offering a different charm in each season. The park is equipped with the North Loop and South Loop bike paths, allowing one to ride while absorbing phytoncides, and with a bit of luck, spot the Reeves's pheasant foraging for food, all while listening to the sounds of insects and birds, enjoying a forest bath on a pleasant bike ride. Surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range, Daanong Dafu Plain Forest Park boasts expansive views. In spring, colorful flower fields can be admired in front of the service center, while the wide grasslands showcase thoughtfully designed installations that always catch the attention of travelers, making it a popular photo spot. In March and April, the grasslands at night begin to shimmer with glowing fireflies, their numbers creating a moving galaxy that makes it hard to look away, as visitors focus on the guide's explanations for a rich ecological journey. During autumn and winter, the surrounding trees along the South Loop bike path, such as the Dutchman's pipe, sweet gum, and green maple, gradually change from green to yellow and then red, attracting many to come and photograph the maple leaves. Riding along the South Loop bike path, listening to the rustling of the maple leaves and admiring the brilliant maple forest, is a unique way to experience the romantic atmosphere of autumn and winter that can only be felt at Daanong Dafu.
