Dadong-Dafu Plain Forest Park Introduction
Daan Forest Park is Taiwan's first lowland forest park, featuring rich natural ecology. In spring, visitors can enjoy flower viewing, while summer offers firefly and bird watching, and autumn and winter showcase the beautiful maple leaves. Each of the four seasons has its unique charm. The park is equipped with northern and southern cycling paths, allowing cyclists to absorb phytoncides while riding and, if lucky, spot a ring-necked pheasant foraging. Surrounded by the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range, Daan Forest Park offers expansive views. In spring, one can admire the colorful flower sea in front of the service center, while the vast grasslands house creatively designed installations that always catch the attention of travelers, making it a popular photo spot. Around March and April, glowing fireflies begin to light up the grass at night, their numbers resembling a moving galaxy, captivating onlookers who are eager to listen to the guide's explanations and embark on a rich ecological journey. As autumn and winter approach, the surroundings of the southern cycling path, including species like the sweetbay magnolia, sweet gum, and green maple, transition from green to yellow and finally to red, drawing many to come and appreciate the maple leaves and take photos. Riding on the southern cycling path while listening to the rustling of maple leaves and gazing at the brilliant maple forest is a unique experience that embodies the romantic essence of autumn and winter found only in Daan Forest Park.
