Beigang was formerly known as Ben Port, and the traditional Ben Port pastries have been passed down for 300 years. The most prosperous aspect of Beigang is its pastries, which once served a significant role in filling hungry stomachs within the agricultural society and were also great snacks for the elderly without teeth. Our master has adjusted the recipe to make it more natural and healthy. Therefore, we have inherited the elements of pastries and the Beigang Chaotian Temple to open this store, hoping to add another highlight to Beigang, where people can rest, drink free tea, purchase souvenirs, and dine. Beigang attracts 6.5 million visitors annually, driven by the Beigang Chaotian Temple. The Houde Cheng Eatery incorporates elements of Beigang's religion and culture into its architecture, such as the lanterns of the Chaotian Temple and uniforms used during the Mazu parade. After their term ends, they are also adorned in our building. In addition to the characteristic Beigang pastries and richly packaged temple culture, many religious cultural items and imagery have been infused into the architecture, allowing more people to appreciate the rich culture of the Beigang Chaotian Temple.
