Yifeng Winter Melon Tea Introduction
Established in the first year of the Republic of China, this is the only surviving traditional winter melon candy store in Tainan. The process of brewing winter melon tea does not involve any preservatives or chemical additives, resulting in a rich flavor and strong aroma of winter melon. Initially, Mr. Lin's sons were unwilling to take over, and Mr. Lin thought this was a declining industry. However, his youngest son, Lin Kechuan, returned to run the beverage shop. Mr. Lin was initially worried that the family business would end with him, but unexpectedly, it developed in a new direction. The Yifeng Winter Melon Factory has branches across Taiwan, all run by the descendants of the Lin family. Yifeng's winter melon tea has a unique caramel aroma and is still handmade today, so the production is limited. Those wishing to purchase winter melon syrup must make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment when visiting the store.
