Dafang Food Co., Ltd. (Dafang Tofu) Introduction
The first Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs features the master-crafted gift set of national treasure-grade tofu (handmade black bean tofu). The famous Da Fang Tofu is recognized nationwide, made from food-grade non-GMO soybeans and handcrafted, going through at least four cycles of rapid freezing and marinating, resulting in a solid delicious and chewy texture that is loved by tourists as a souvenir. In 2008 and 2010, it was awarded the Taoyuan Gold Medal Shop for "Nostalgic Snacks" and "Dessert Cuisine," respectively. The Da Fang Happy Peach Blossom Garden gift box, which has been passed down through four generations over a century, is featured in the third and fifth Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs. The contents of the Happy Peach Blossom Garden gift set include one box of Tung flower egg with green beans, one bottle of canned tofu from Kanjin, and vacuum-packed handmade black bean tofu (four boxes from the national treasure-grade tofu master and two bags of fresh packed tofu). In 2008, it was awarded one of the top fifteen souvenirs in Taiwan by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and passed the vacuum commercial sterilization test by the Food Industry Research and Development Institute in 2010, authorized for room-temperature sales of vacuum-sealed yellow soybean foods (one of three in Taiwan and the only one in northern Taiwan). The sixth Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs features the Da Fang Purple Butterfly gift box. The seventh and eighth Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs feature the Da Fang ceramic seal jar (Peach Joy). The design of the Da Fang ceramic seal (jar) considers the concept of environmental reuse. We first send the ceramic clay for inspection to ensure it meets food container standards.
