Taiwan Dafa Food Co., Ltd. (Dafa Tofu) Introduction
The first edition of Taoyuan's Top Ten Souvenirs features the national treasure-level tofu master gift set (handmade black bean tofu). The renowned Da Fang tofu, recognized in the third and fourth editions of Taoyuan's Top Ten Souvenirs, is made from food-grade non-GMO soybeans, crafted entirely by hand. It undergoes at least four rounds of rapid freezing and braising processes, resulting in a solidly delicious and chewy texture, making it a favorite souvenir among tourists. In 2008, it was awarded the Gold Medal Shop in Taoyuan for "Nostalgic Snacks," and in 2010 for "Desserts." The Da Fang Happiness Peach Blossom Garden Gift Box, recognized in the third and fifth editions of Taoyuan's Top Ten Souvenirs, has been passed down through four generations over a century. The contents of the Happiness Peach Blossom Garden Gift Set include a box of Tung flower egg green beans, a bottle of Kanjin fermented tofu, and vacuum-sealed handmade black bean tofu (four boxes from the national treasure-level tofu master and two bags of flavored tofu). In 2008, it was awarded one of Taiwan's Top 15 Souvenirs by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and in 2010, it passed the vacuum commercial sterilization test by the Food Industry Research and Development Institute. It is licensed by the Department of Health for room temperature sales of vacuum black bean tofu (one of three in Taiwan and the only one in Northern Taiwan). The sixth edition of Taoyuan's Top Ten Souvenirs features the Da Fang Purple Butterfly Gift Box. The seventh and eighth editions of Taoyuan's Top Ten Souvenirs include the Da Fang ceramic jar (Peach Happiness). When designing the ceramic jar, Da Fang Foods considered the concept of environmental reuse. The clay was first sent for testing to ensure it meets food container standards.
