Dafang Food Co., Ltd. (Dafang Tofu) Introduction
The first set of the Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs features a master-level handcrafted black bean dried tofu. Renowned nationwide, the beloved Da Fang Dofu has been recognized in the third and fourth editions of the Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs. Made from food-grade non-GMO soybeans, it is crafted entirely by hand and undergoes at least four rounds of rapid freezing and marinating processes, resulting in a solid, delicious, and pleasantly chewy texture that is a favorite souvenir among tourists. In 2008, it was awarded the Taoyuan Golden Store title for "Nostalgic Snacks", and in 2010, for "Desserts". The Da Fang Happiness Peach Blossom Garden Gift Box, recognized in the third and fifth editions of the Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs, has a history of over a hundred years passed down through four generations. The Happiness Peach Blossom Garden Gift Box includes: one box of Tunghua Egg Green Beans, one bottle of Kanjin Fermented Tofu, and vacuum-sealed handmade black bean dried tofu (four boxes from a master-level dried tofu master and two packages of fresh bean dried tofu). In 2008, it was recognized as one of Taiwan's fifteen major souvenirs by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and in 2010, passed the vacuum commercial sterility tests by the Food Industry Research and Development Institute, gaining approval from the Department of Health for regular temperature sales of vacuum-packaged yellow soybean products (one of three in Taiwan, and the only one in northern Taiwan). The sixth edition of the Taoyuan Top Ten Souvenirs features the Da Fang Purple Butterfly Gift Box, while the seventh and eighth editions include the Da Fang Ceramic Sealed Pot (Peach Joy) which was designed with considerations for environmental recycling in mind.
