New South 12 Cultural and Creative Experimental Shop Introduction
Xinnan 12 Cultural & Creative Business is located on Zhongshan Road, previously known as Xinnan Street. It was once a gathering place for merchants to establish businesses and warehouses during the prosperous period of the Daxi River, and also served as an upscale residential area. In 1999, it was renovated by the Council for Cultural Affairs and the local government to become an arts and culture street. The building at Xinnan 12 Cultural & Creative Business (No. 12 Zhongshan Road) was once the residence of Dr. Fu Zujian, one of Daxi's three senior doctors. Although much of the nearly century-old structure and interior has been preserved, innovative thinking and management have transformed the old house into a new space, allowing everyone to see the style of the time again. This platform also enables more Daxi partners to explore different ways of promoting local culture.
