New South 12 Creative Experiment Shop Introduction
Xin Nan 12 Creative Business, located at No. 12 Zhongshan Road, was originally known as Xin Nan Street. It served as a gathering place for merchants to establish businesses and warehouses during the prosperous period of the Daxi River. It was also an upscale residential area at that time. In 1999, it was renovated by the Council for Cultural Affairs and the local government to become an arts and cultural street. This building was once the residence of one of Daxi's three senior doctors, Dr. Fu Zu-jian. Although the structure and indoor elements of this nearly hundred-year-old house have mostly diminished, innovative thinking and management have revitalized the old building, allowing this three-entry space to showcase its former glory. Additionally, this platform encourages more partners in Daxi to explore different ways of promoting local culture.
