New South 12 Cultural and Creative Experimental Store Introduction
Xinnan 12 Cultural and Creative Business, located at No. 12 Zhongshan Road, was originally known as Xinnan Street. It was a gathering place for merchants and warehouses during the prosperous period of the Daxi River, and also served as an upscale residential area at that time. In 1999, it was renovated by the Council for Cultural Affairs and the local government to become an arts and culture street. This building was once the residence of Dr. Fu Zujian, one of the three senior doctors in Daxi. Although very few original structural elements and interior constructions remain from nearly a hundred years ago, through innovative thinking and management, the old house has been given a new look, allowing the three-section space to showcase its historical character anew. This platform also encourages more local partners in Daxi to explore different ways of promoting local culture.
