Shuei Li Township Farmers' Association Zhenmei Museum Introduction
Checheng Village in ShuiLi Township is the terminus of the Jiji Line, currently preserving the large old factory of Zhenchang Wood Industry, a large lumber storage pool, employee dormitory area, Checheng village, and the ShuiLi River Valley. During the Japanese colonial period and shortly after the restoration, Checheng was once the dream of many young people, bustling with merchants and thriving, earning ShuiLi the nickname "Little Taipei," with the Jiji Branch Line serving as a vital transportation artery. The ShuiLi Zhenmei Gallery, located next to Checheng Railway Station, was originally an old railroad warehouse. After being renovated with cypress wood by the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration, it has been leased and planned by the ShuiLi Township Farmers' Association as a local agricultural product exhibition and sales center, primarily featuring plum-related products and souvenirs developed over the years by the ShuiLi Township Farmers' Association, as well as specialty products incorporating ShuiLi's snake kiln culture, many of which have won awards in the Top 100 Excellent Agricultural Products from the Farmers' Association. Notable products include Mei You Jing Shen (Plum Spirit), Enjoy Plum Vinegar, Plum Soy Sauce, Plum Oil Paste, Maji Mei Mei (Plum Mochi), and Shu Xiang Mei (Fragrant Plum). Shu Xiang Mei is a traditional handmade plum that contains no preservatives, designed in collaboration with the ShuiLi snake kiln, representing a harmonious blend of color, fragrance, and taste in ShuiLi's plum products, making it a timeless masterpiece cherished by literati and connoisseurs.
