Fengshan Inspection Office Introduction

Fengshan Inspection Station, located in Jinkou Township, was built during the Ming Dynasty by General Zhou Dexing of Jiangxia to resist Japanese pirates. It is one of the five inspection stations in Kinmen. The current appearance seen was restored in 2013, and due to its unique gate design, it has become a popular photo spot, often referred to as the "Little Great Wall of Kinmen." During the Ming Dynasty, the frequent invasions by Japanese pirates often threatened the coastal areas of China. In the twenty years of the Hongwu era, Ming Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang dispatched General Zhou Dexing to station troops along the Fujian coast, establishing a series of coastal defense fortifications. A total of five inspection stations were built on Kinmen Island at that time: Tianpu, Guanao, Chenkeng, Lieyu, and Fengshan. However, all five were destroyed during the Qing Dynasty's Kangxi era when the Qing army occupied Kinmen and implemented a maritime blockade. Additionally, Fengshan Inspection Station is a great place to watch the sunset. After visiting the Fengshan Inspection Station, you can also take a walk to the nearby "Fengshan Guli Shore" and "San Shao E-065 Fort."
