Yummy Craft Culinary Arts Restaurant Introduction

The founder of Yimi Te (一米特), Wu Yong-Mao, known as A-Mao, has over thirty years of experience in the production of pastries and snacks. Born and raised in Su'ao, Yilan, he often accompanied his mother to deliver snacks to his farming father and siblings in the fields. This deepened his understanding of the hardships faced by farmers. Although he later found great success running a mochi factory, he always remembered the disappointed expressions of his parents when he returned to see the abandoned fields of his hometown. Therefore, he decided to utilize the land passed down from his father to create Yimi Te Creative Food Hall, incorporating local ingredients to promote the traditional culture of rice-based pastries. By collaborating with Haohan Foods, which has long been dedicated to the research and production of mochi and jelly, as well as developing various innovative fillings such as snowberry cake, three Q cakes, and grass daifuku, he has produced stunning mochi skin that redefines the idea of mochi. Mochi that cannot be consumed the same day can be frozen, and after thawing, retains the same chewy texture as freshly wrapped. Furthermore, Chairman Wu's affection for this land gives birth to Yimi Te Creative Food Hall, which not only offers various rice products and jelly pastries but also features a tea tasting area that showcases their dedication. It seems like a gift from above; during the construction of the facility, the engineers unexpectedly discovered a cold spring. After testing, it was confirmed to have the same components as the cold springs in Su'ao, "carbonated cold spring," with a water temperature of around 22℃. The cold spring water is rich in carbon dioxide, creating a delightful "bubbly" sensation when it touches the skin. Therefore, a foot bath area has been specially planned in the natural landscape zone to share this precious cold spring resource with all guests at Yimi Te. The site also offers DIY activities, with over a thousand square meters of natural landscape and an outdoor café. On weekends and holidays, the stage area hosts a variety of performances, ensuring you have an incredibly relaxing leisure time. Recognizing that Taiwanese people are increasingly prioritizing food safety and the quality of leisure travel, A-Mao decided to return to his hometown, using the land left by his father and his thirty years of professional experience in snack and pastry development to establish Yimi Te Creative Food Hall. It stands amidst lush green mountains and fields, covering nearly five thousand square meters, creating a comprehensive leisure park that encompasses gourmet food, culture, recreation, and landscape.
