Yimi Creative Cuisine Introduction

The founder of I-Mi Te, known as A-Mao, Wu Yong-Mao, has over thirty years of experience in pastry and snack-making. He is a native of Su-ao, Yilan. As a child, he often accompanied his mother to deliver snacks to the fields for his farmer father and siblings, deeply understanding the hardships of farmers. Although he later found great success running a mochi factory, seeing the abandoned fields upon returning to his hometown always reminded him of the disappointed expressions of his parents. Thus, he decided to utilize the land passed down by his father to create the I-Mi Te Creative Culinary Pavilion, incorporating local ingredients to promote the traditional culture of rice-based pastries. By collaborating with Haohan Foods, which has long been dedicated to the research and production of mochi and jelly, as well as developing many innovative fillings such as "Snowberry Niang," "Three Q Cakes," and "Grass Daifuku," they have created stunning mochi skins that change perceptions of mochi. Mochi that is not consumed on the same day can be frozen, and after defrosting, it retains the same chewy texture as freshly made. Coupled with Chairman Wu's feelings for this land, the I-Mi Te Creative Culinary Pavilion not only offers various rice products and jellies but also features a tea tasting area, allowing guests to experience our dedication. Seemingly a gift from the heavens, during the construction of the factory, I-Mi Te’s engineers unexpectedly struck a cold spring, which was verified to have the same composition as the cold springs in Su-Ao, known as "Carbonated Cold Springs," with a water temperature of about 22°C. The cold spring water is rich in carbon dioxide, and the cool bubbles "pop" against the skin. Therefore, we specially planned a foot-soaking pool in the natural landscape area to share this precious cold spring resource with all guests at I-Mi Te. There are also DIY activities on-site, an expansive natural landscape area and outdoor cafe of over one thousand square meters, and various performances scheduled at the stage area on weekends and holidays, all designed to provide you with a relaxing leisure time. As Taiwanese people increasingly focus on food safety issues and the quality of recreational travel, A-Mao decided to return home, using the land left by his father and his over thirty years of professional snack and pastry development skills to establish the I-Mi Te Creative Culinary Pavilion, located in Su-Ao amidst lush greenery and covering nearly 5,000 ping, creating a comprehensive leisure park that encompasses cuisine, culture, recreation, and landscape.
