Chaiwei Drainage Sluice Park Introduction
Chaiwei Dianzhen Water Gate is located in the Ba'e Village of Jiaoxi Township. In addition to regulating irrigation water for the agricultural system, the water gate features a 315-meter concrete riprap along its perimeter. The simple Chai Dianzhen Water Gate Park includes a wooden hexagonal pavilion, with inscriptions on the columns that read: "Be a good person, be at peace" and "Doing good deeds is known by heaven and earth." The park also has a set of marble tables and chairs, a statue of a white goose, a 162-meter long brick walkway, and 2,698 planted marigolds along with 780 square meters of planted zoysia grass among various flowers and trees. The picturesque rural landscape makes it a popular spot for recreational activities. The park features a statue of a mother goose leading seven goslings, which is very captivating! Their varying poses, whether with heads held high or bowed down, make them seem lifelike, leading some to mistake them for real geese. Adjacent to the water gate park is the head of Ba'e Mountain, where several left and right air raid shelters from the Japanese colonial era can be found, now long abandoned. The beautiful scenery of Chaiwei Dianzhen Water Gate Park is an ideal place for leisure activities. The inscriptions by the pavilion columns state: "Be a good person, be at peace" and "Doing good deeds is known by heaven and earth."
