Chaiwei Danzhun Water Gate Park Introduction
The Chaiwei Tien Canal Sluice Gate is located in the Baige Village of Jiaoxi Township. In addition to regulating irrigation water for the agricultural system, the sluice gate features a 315-meter-long concrete revetment surrounding it. The simple Chaitian Sluice Gate Park includes a wooden hexagonal pavilion, where the pillars on both sides are inscribed with the phrases: "Be a good person, and have a peaceful mind" and "Doing good deeds is known by heaven and earth." The park also features a set of marble tables and chairs, a statue of a white goose, a 162-meter-long brick pathway, and the planting of 2,698 golden trumpet flowers and 780 square meters of fescue grass along with various other plants. The park's picturesque pastoral and mountainous scenery makes it a popular spot for public recreational activities. A statue of a mother goose leading seven little goslings is particularly charming! Their postures, whether holding their heads high or bowing down, appear almost lifelike, making one mistakenly think they are real geese. Adjacent to the sluice gate park is the head of Baige Mountain, where there are remnants of World War II air raid shelters that have long been abandoned. The beautiful scenery of Chaiwei Tien Canal Sluice Gate Park makes it a popular location for leisure activities. The pillars of the pavilion are inscribed with the phrases: "Be a good person, and have a peaceful mind" and "Doing good deeds is known by heaven and earth." The park features a wooden hexagonal pavilion, and the Chaiwei Tien Canal Sluice Gate can regulate irrigation water for the agricultural system.
