Linmei Jinzao Cultural Center Introduction
Linmei Village in Jiaoxi Township is known as the "Village of Kumquats," where every farmer possesses a deep understanding of kumquat culture. The "kumquat," also known as "golden orange" or "Fortunella," is a fruit with a golden-yellow exterior and a sweet-tart interior. Due to its golden hue, it is seen as a symbol of good fortune. This center is themed around kumquats and was established with the guidance of the Council of Agriculture and local agricultural associations. Visitors or schools can make reservations for tours, where they can learn a great deal about kumquats through explanations from the owners or staff. The first floor features a sales area where visitors can sample and taste the products, and of course, purchase souvenirs. The second floor serves as an exhibition area, where pictures and text provide insights into the processing of kumquats and the different care methods required in each season. When visiting, don't forget to bring home a bag of "Kumquat Throat Lozenges" with the Linmei inscription. They are a popular local specialty in Jiaoxi that is suitable for all ages and not only soothes the throat but also offers a memorable taste.
