Coastal Bicycle Path Introduction
The North Coast Cycling Path, also known as the Yilan Coastal Bicycle North Line, begins at Donggang Banyan Park and runs north, passing through Yongzhen Coastal Park to the Zhuan'an River Estuary. It spans approximately 14 kilometers and is ideal for cycling as well as hiking along the path to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Along the cycling path, there are two scenic pavilions where visitors can rest and admire the coastal views. On either side of the path, white Crinum asiaticum, Taiwan wild lilies, and Sonneratia alba are planted. Late summer to early autumn marks the blooming period for Crinum asiaticum and wild lilies. Under the sea breeze, the white flowers sway gently, making it especially pleasant to ride while enjoying the flowers. Additionally, there are several small paths leading to the beach, allowing visitors to hear the sound of the waves while appreciating the coastal flora, the vast Pacific Ocean, and the unique views of the coastline, including Turtle Island in the distance. However, the bicycle supply station is a short distance from the path, so it is recommended to prepare supplies before setting off for a seaside cycling adventure.
